 About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team to provide effective and efficient administrative support and customer service in a busy hospital department. Our Administration Officer working in the Clinical Information Department plays a key role in liaising with staff inside and outside of the department and ensures the delivery of exemplary customer service. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that medical records are kept secure, complete and are available as required to support patient care and other purposes.
  • Accurate and timely data entry into the iPM Patient Administration System ensuring timely tracking of medical records and volumes.
  • Assemble, audit for completeness and assign discharged patient records to next area of completion
  • Locate prior medical records and documentation applicable for the patient in any part of the hybrid systems – paper based, electronic, microfilm or scanned as required to ensure complete and safe records are referred to.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with department staff, at all levels and be a high functioning team member.
  • Maintain high quality customer focused service and attention to detail in all work.

What you bring 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously when required
  • Proficient knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer skills
  • Energy and the ability to process high volume constant workloads
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
