About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team to provide effective and efficient administrative support and customer service in a busy hospital department. Our Administration Officer working in the Clinical Information Department plays a key role in liaising with staff inside and outside of the department and ensures the delivery of exemplary customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that medical records are kept secure, complete and are available as required to support patient care and other purposes.
Accurate and timely data entry into the iPM Patient Administration System ensuring timely tracking of medical records and volumes.
Assemble, audit for completeness and assign discharged patient records to next area of completion
Locate prior medical records and documentation applicable for the patient in any part of the hybrid systems – paper based, electronic, microfilm or scanned as required to ensure complete and safe records are referred to.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with department staff, at all levels and be a high functioning team member.
Maintain high quality customer focused service and attention to detail in all work.
What you bring
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously when required
Proficient knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer skills
Energy and the ability to process high volume constant workloads
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
