 About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team to provide effective and efficient administrative support and customer service in a busy health care setting. Our Administration Officer plays a key role in liaising with staff, clients and their families and ensuring the delivery of exemplary customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reception of patients, visitors and staff using a courteous and professional manner at all times. Recognise need to escalate concerns in a timely fashion to appropriate senior staff;
  • Undertake timely and accurate registrations, admissions, discharges and transfers in accordance with iPM processes, hospital requirements and local procedures. Liaise with external stakeholders, including hospital transport, ambulance and funeral directors in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Work cohesively within the administration team, participating in the rotational roster and demonstrate willingness to work across the inpatient, intake and outreach activities of the department
  • Join the administrative rotational roster across operations of the department, including referral processing and intake, inpatient administrative activities and support to the outreach team;
  • Assist the Office Manager in the administrative management of departmental activity and clinical data, audit and benchmarking processes;

What you bring 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously
  • Proficient knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
