About the role

Implementation and review strategy for workforce planning of nursing services at Calvary Riverina Hospital

Provide expert nursing leadership and operational management

Nurture and sustain a positive workplace culture, underpinned by the mission and core values of Calvary,

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of the skills required for this position. This includes knowledge and understanding of appropriate equipment, legislation, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a diverse team or participate as an active member of a team, consistent with the philosophy and policies of the Organisation
  • Practice collaboratively within the inter-professional health care team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups.
  • Assist the Director of Clinical Services in leading a professional capable clinical workforce within Calvary Riverina Hospital committed to consumer outcomes in the application of evidence-based models of care and professional practice standards to achieve current and projected service demands.

What you bring 

  • Essential

    • Registered with the Australia Health Practitioners Regulation Authority of Australia, current practising certificate
    • Minimum five (5) years post-graduate nursing experience
    • Senior leadership experience in health care
    • Demonstrated organisational and leadership skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated commitment to National Quality and Safety Health Services Standards and evidence based practice.
    • The incumbent is required to operate a motor vehicle and as such, a current ‘C’ class licence must be provided.


    • Undertaking of risk management with the ability to initiate and implement quality programs
    • Post Graduate qualification relevant to position/or working towards same
    • Understanding LOS strategy and health fund contracts
    • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
