About the role
As Assistant in Nursing, you will use a patient centered approach to patient assessment in conjunction with the Registered Nurse by
performing vital signs, collecting height and patient weights performing urinalysis and blood glucose levels.
You will also escort patients to appointments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Practicing within organisational philosophies and guidelines you will ensure safe practice by practicing reflectively within own scope of practice and facilities guidelines.
What you bring
COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt
Immunisations as outlined in the NSW Health Policy
Successfully completed the first year of a Bachelor of Nursing Degree at a recognised tertiary institution with evidence of a pass grade in all clinical components and currently enrolled in the second year of a Bachelor of Nursing degree; or Certificate lll in Health Services Assistant
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge, understanding and demonstration of customer service culture in health care
Willingness to embrace the hospital’s core values, mission and vision and to incorporate into practice
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
