About the role
A new exciting opportunity exists for an RN level 1 to fill a newly developed role as the Cardiology Outpatient Registered Nurse. They will be required to coordinate and supervise specialised cardiology outpatient services procedures and clinics. This role would assist the Cardiologist to prepare and deliver the outpatient cardiology services and contribute to associated administrative duties, including but not limited to working with the Cardiologist and NAPs clerks to ensure smooth booking of patients.
There will be both clinical aspects and non-clinical duties for this role. They will be responsible for and will provide high quality safe care for patients presenting for these clinics in collaboration with Cardiologists and Non-admits clerks. There will also be a non-clinical component of the role to ensure the clinics are prepared properly, policy and procedure development, consumer information development, quality improvement projects and other adhoc administration tasks.
This role is currently part time, 5 days a fortnight (0.5 FTE, 40 hrs a fortnight) and the applicant will need to be available from Wednesday to Friday as per the schedule for the outpatient clinics. At the present time the clinic are scheduled during business hours (0800 to 1730).

The Critical Care Unit is a 16-bed Level 4 facility providing Intensive Care, High Dependency, and Coronary Care Services. The unit is known for its high quality patient care and care improvement, strong multidisciplinary team focus and its supportive staff environment. The unit has a dedicated Education Team with a robust education calendar that incorporates simulations, in-services from all disciplines including medical and a focus each month. The unit also support the Cardiology department with their Outpatient Clinics to ensure high quality safe patient care is given at all times. Calvary Bruce also has free parking.
