About the role

We’re seeking qualified Career Medical Officers (CMO’s) to join our passionate team at Bruce Private. This role will be an opportunity for to gain exposure, experience and knowledge through collaborating with some of Canberra’s leading Visiting Medical Officer’s (VMO’s) across a range of specialities, supported by an exceptional clinical nursing team and surrounding by state-of-the-art facilities.

 

 

What you bring 

Mandatory:

  • Full registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
  • Ability to work a 24/7 shift work roster.
  • Proven competence in applying medical knowledge and sound judgement in clinical diagnosis, investigation and treatment of patients.
  • Commitment to ethical practice.
  • Demonstrated skills and clinical knowledge to manage a broad spectrum of presentations including medical, surgical and mental health patients.
  • Superior interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and communication skills.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt.

Highly desirable:

  • An understanding and ability to apply quality improvement principles in medical practice and within an accredited hospital.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the general management of a clinical unit in a customer focused environment, including the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
