About the role

Calvary Kooyong is a brand new site located in Caulfield, opening in January 2023. The precinct will co-locate Calvary Bethlehem Hospital, a residential aged care facility, Huntly Suites, and an independent living facility, Hyson Apartments.

We currently have Casual and Permanent Part Time vacancies for General Services - Cleaners to join our team. 

About the role:

These roles will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas in the Kooyong Facility.  Areas will include the Huntley residents' rooms, public areas, toilets, and dining rooms.  Calvary Bethlehem Hospital includes the cleaning of patient rooms, public areas, tea rooms and offices. 

Part time positions available - various shifts available across a fortnightly roster 

What you bring:

• A passion for working in Health and Aged Care sectors
• A strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
• Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role in residential care, health care or hospitality sectors
• Current National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes
• Current valid Australian work rights
• Mandatory Vaccination Evidence for Health Care Workers 
• Working knowledge of Work Health Safety and Infection Control
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping designated areas including resident rooms, patient rooms, public areas, toilets, dining rooms and offices
• Maintains records of completion of cleaning schedule duties
• Understands and follows safe storage and use of cleaning agents including correct cleaning agents used in correct quantities
• Participation in the infection control program
• Understands Waste Management and Disposal
