About the role

Clare Holland House is looking for a Palliative Care Registered Nurse Leader who will be guided in their practice by the ANMC competencies and the National Standards of Palliative Care. This role is within the Inpatient specialist palliative care unit. The RN 3.2 will provide advanced clinical assessment and develop and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the patient their family and liaise closely members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient centred care is delivered. The RN 3.2 is a leadership role, providing direction management to the clinical team. It includes development of rosters and asset management.  

 

What you bring 

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Act as a professional role model and resource person in the provision of active, compassionate patient centered care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide specialist clinical palliative care services to palliative patients and their families within the ACT community setting including the provision of expertise in assessment, symptom management and end of life care
  • Directly provide comprehensive and coordinated patient centered care (acknowledging the patient and their significant others as the unit of care) utilising processes of continuous assessment, negotiated support and evaluation in accordance with the ANMC National Competency Standards and the National Standards of Palliative Care
  • Management experience of a clinical ward
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
