About the role

The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for providing leadership, and safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.

Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, this is a 12-month fixed-term full time position at Calvary Lenah Valley Hospital in the Endoscopy Unit, commencing January 2023 with the opportunity for ongoing part-time hours from January 2024.

- To promote quality customer service and excellence in patient care
- To provide leadership and promote clinical and operational strategies in line with the local service plan
- To promote the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Tasmania
- Management of human, material and financial resources
What you bring
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, current practicing certificate
- Experience in the relevant practice setting
- Demonstrated management, organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates a commitment to best practice
- Computer literacy
- Understanding risk management with the ability to initiate and implement quality programs
- Post graduate qualification relevant to position/or working towards to same
- Previous experience in a management role
- Membership of relevant professional organisation/s - GENCA
