Calvary Adelaide Hospital is growing and we are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Scrub / Scout Clinical Nurses to support Orthopaedic surgery. These positions are an exciting and unique opportunity to join our Perioperative team at Calvary Adelaide Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our amazing perioperative group. We work closely with our Visiting Medical Officers to enable great care for our patients. We pride ourselves on being patient advocates and developing sound systems to enable this.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse is required to:

  • Support Clinical Manager in daily operational management of the department including: stock management, procurement, education, HR matters, liaising with VMO’s and company reps etc.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of direct patient care
  • Provide clinical support and direction to Registered, Enrolled, Graduate, Novice and Student Nurses
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, be appropriately qualified, experienced and a motivated health professional who is able to impart their knowledge and expertise to ensure safe, high quality clinical care that meet relevant standards
  • Ensure a culture of clinical excellence, contemporary practice and professional development within the clinical speciality

 

What you bring:

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • An ability to support change management
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
