Clinical Nurse- Reynolds Ward

 About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide specialist clinical support to nursing staff as the Clinical Nurse - Reynolds ward. This is an exciting opportunity to join our amazing team in the newest and largest private hospital in South Australia. We work closely with our Visiting Medical Officers to provide high quality and personalised care for our patients. The successful applicant will aim to support and entrench a culture of clinical excellence and best practice. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an approachable and willing resource person who can demonstrate expert knowledge, familiarity with the policies, procedures and clinical practices and be able to provide support and guidance to other staff
  • Give direct care to patients, demonstrating expertise and acting as a role model
  • Act as a Preceptor for new staff in the unit
  • Increase staff awareness of area specific skills, providing education and resources
  • Act as ‘In Charge’ of shift and in the Clinical Manager role as delegated
  • Be an active, regular and significant contributor in the formulation compliance and revision of policies and procedures

What you bring 

  • Enthusiasm and Professionalism
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting in Urology or General Surgical Nursing
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
