CSSD Sterilisation Technician

About the role

Located within the Peri-Operative Department at Calvary Adelaide Hospital the CSSD Technician semi autonomously ensures reliably sterilised medical devices are available for use in all relevant areas where reusable medical devices are utilised.

Key Responsibilities

  • The collection, cleaning, packaging and sterilisation and storage requirements of RMD’s, including loan kits and sophisticated medical equipment;
  • Complete documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures and Industry Standards; monitor compliance and report non-conformances using appropriate method;
  • Participate with daily controls, testing, monitoring and validation requirements;
  • Practices in accordance with Infection Control principles, AS4187 and other relevant standards.

What you bring 

  • Current Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Sterilising Attendant or Technician
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
