About the role

Calvary Community Care are seeking Enrolled Nurses to work in Bathurst Island. This role is to work with Indigenous local people living in our Aged Care Facility and Community. You will be working with support workers 7day on 7days off. You will also be managing medication in the facility and the community with credentialed support workers.  Anything clinical you will working with the residents and liaising with RN based in Darwin. This is FIFO work, accommodation, meals and flights/ferry is provided. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical/nursing duties as delegated by Registered Nurse and /or Manager.
  • work within professional and legal boundaries pertaining to an Enrolled Nurse.
  • Maintain clinical skills by participating in training program as required, mandatory training such as first aid, annual CPR and manual handling.
  • Liaise with Registered Nurse, general Practioner and or carers re client's well- being and report immediately any concerns re client's status

What you bring 

  • APRAH registration and current First Aid with CPR
  • 3 years of working experience in community nursing or Aged Care Facility with Indigenous people in remote.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Working with local clinic GPs and other nursing staff.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
