About the role

The Enrolled Nurse is an employee who is registered with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse. In consultation with the Registered Nurse and Clinical Manager of the ward/department, and under the supervision of Registered Nurse, provides comprehensive care of high acuity patients in our Intensive Care and High Dependency Units.

This role is offered on a flexible basis either full-time, part-time or casual basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice in accordance with Calvary and relevant Government Health policies and procedures, the position description, Code of Conduct and industrial agreements.
  • Maintenance of annual competencies and those competencies required to fulfil the needs of the specific area of expertise.
  • Giving direct care to high acuity patients in the intensive care and high dependency units
  • Evaluating outcomes of care and initiating appropriate follow-up.
  • Upholding the principles and practices of infection control by observing Infection Control Guidelines and Standard Precautions as outlined in the Infection Control Manual.  

What you bring 

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
