About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Regional General Manager, Aged Care to join our team on a permanent full time basis.

The Regional General Manager will ensure optimal performance of an allocated portfolio of 10 homes with a strong focus on delivering outstanding care and service underpinned by Calvary’s values.  This will support the delivery of high quality care to our residents and their families, care for our employees and volunteers and sustain our business performance.

Supporting the Regional CEO, the General Manager, Aged Care will deliver effective business performance and high-quality customer experience aligned to, and supporting, clinical outcomes.The role is Vic based, covering the Western region, and can also be based in Melbourne but there is some travel required to regional parts of Victoria.

 

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health, Business or similar;
  • Outstanding leadership skills, able to engage, mentor and inspire others.
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement whilst working in the Healthcare/Human Services space
  • The ability to drive outcomes and results through strong interpersonal skills;
  • Solid understanding of financial metrics and concepts associated with management, with an oversight of hospitals (desirable);
  • Experience in effectively articulating business improvement opportunities through the utilisation of reporting, business writing and project documentation;
  • Effective approach to Change management as well as Risk Management and mitigation;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proven financial acumen, with successful business and budget management experience
  • Thorough working knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation standards and other relevant legislative framework (Aged Care Act, Health Records Act, WHS legislation etc.)
  • Valid Driver’s license and Current Police Check
  • COVID and Flu vaccination or valid medical exemption
  • Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary and the ability and desire to uphold these at all times.
