Permanent – Part Time Position (0.5FTE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physician to provide clinical care and leadership within the General Medicine Department at Calvary Public Hospital Bruce (CPHB).
About the role
This position is being offered as either Visiting Medical Officer or Staff Specialist 0.5FTE depending on applicant’s preference.
This is a busy department working with a team of consultants, registrars and junior doctors. The hospital is fully accredited using the National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards, You will be providing both inpatient and outpatient care and be required to participate in the general medicine on-call roster.
• Non Admitted Patients clinic requirements = 1 clinic per month
• Ward Rounds = Twice weekly, with additional rounds for post-take
• Operating Sessions where applicable = 3 per week/12 per month
• On call – 1 in 15 (2 shifts per month)
As a teaching hospital for the Australian National University Medical School, there is opportunity to provide supervision and teaching of medical students. Research opportunities exist as Calvary has affiliations with the ANU, University of Canberra and Australian Catholic University.
