About the role

Calvary Graphic Designers are responsible for the production and governance of all assets associated with Calvary marketing, communication and promotional collateral, including branding, and advertising; for use in internal and external print and digital environments.


This role works collaboratively with the broader marketing team across the Calvary group (hospitals, residential aged care, retirement communities, home care and virtual care) interacting with various stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that Calvary’s graphic collateral and marketing assets reflect the Calvary brand accurately and align in support of a national approach.


The Graphic Design function is part of the National Customer and Communications team and are the ‘Brand Ambassadors’ for Calvary and ensure that all materials are produced in line with the mission vision and values and strategic intent.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and optimisation of digital and print ready assets including but not limited to: Calvary website, EDMs, social media, intranet, brochures, fliers, banners, event/project support material, advertisements
  • Develop and maintain filing protocols for documenting, tracking and maintaining version control for marketing assets, including national library of digital assets (images, collateral and associated InDesign files)
  • Co-ordination of external suppliers to manage outsourced work, ensuring adherence to brand objectives and style guides including image library
  • Perform a range of administrative tasks related to the daily operations of the graphic design function, including documenting workflows of jobs in progress to manage projected timelines
  • Research and implement best practice ideas to continue to evolve Calvary’s brand and collateral and reduce duplication of effort in processes and systems.

 

What you bring 

  • Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in creative and graphic design skills with a portfolio of digital and print
  • Self-motivation with a high degree of initiative and ability to work autonomously
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Ability to prepare print and digital ready files
  • Ability to attend to multiple tasks, multiple stakeholders and meet tight deadlines
  • Brand awareness and understanding with strong layout and composition skills
  • Demonstrable project management skills as well as highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills,
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles and the latest technologies with the ability to identify how to apply them in marketing
  • Experience working in the health care industry would be highly desirable
