About the role

The Home Manager is responsible for the leadership and service delivery of the facility in line with the Calvary values of hospitality, healing, stewardship and respect to ensure excellence in care, the provision of wellbeing-based and contemporary, high quality services and most importantly a quality lifestyle for our residents.

This role has a strong focus on compliance and operational KPI’s, and will ensure that the facility is compliant with legislative and statutory requirements, and meets financial expectations and optimises occupancy levels.

The Home Manager will have a strong focus on employee engagement, and will lead, develop and build the capability of the workforce within the facility. The Home Manager will develop a high performing team with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the operating philosophy and agreed (in conjunction with the GM) operating model for person-centred care and person-centred dementia and palliative care. Ensure that a “person - centred approach” is used to implement models of care delivered and that supports evidence-based practice;
  • Advise Staff on the application and implementation of policies, procedures and other information associated with residential care services;
  • Ensure that our services and staff are particularly attuned to the most vulnerable and marginalised members of our community;
  • Ensure that effective processes are in place to facilitate best outcomes for resident assessment and care planning /case management;
  • Apply CRC’s clinical governance system to ensure that clinical practices meet legislative and other requirements;

You bring 

    • Tertiary qualification in Health Science - Nursing or equivalent
    • Recognised tertiary qualification in Health Administration/Management or equivalent experience
    • Recognised diploma’s or certificates relating to the aged care sector or management
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior management role within the aged care and/or retirement living sectors with a successful and proven track record
    • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or Allied Health.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in health and/or aged care management.
    • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
    • Experience in coordinating in a flexible, multi-skilled team environment with advanced interpersonal, communication, relationship building, stakeholder management, change management and customer service skills.
