About the role
The Human Resources Business Partner is a member of the People & Culture team that provides the human resources function for Calvary Aged & Community Care Services business stream across NSW and QLD region, and as such operates under a shared service model.
The Human Resources Business Partner works collaboratively with managers and their direct reports for our sites and service centres across the NSW/QLD region, providing timely guidance, coaching and advice across a wide of range human resources matters, with a strong focus on risk mitigation and promoting the mission and values (hospitality, respect, healing and stewardship) of Calvary.
This role has a strong focus on supporting the National Workforce strategy within the NSW/QLD region including supporting the successful delivery of the traineeship and new graduate programs and sustaining strong partnerships with RTOs and other accredited education providers.
Key Responsibilities
In association with the General Manager HR, operational General Managers and Service Managers, oversee the management and administration of all aspects of traineeship programs to ensure all required documentation and claims are submitted in a timely manner
Support the education and learning framework and strategy to ensure NSW/QLD has a skilled and high-performing workforce. Design, implement, monitor, review and evaluate organisation development initiatives and programs to support the Strategy including Traineeship and Graduate programs
Manage relationships with Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) delivering accredited education to ensure that NSW/QLD needs are met. Monitor contracts, delivery and RTO performance and take corrective action where necessary with the support of the National L& D team
Provide accurate and timely advice, coaching and support to managers and employees across all aspects of human resources matters including but not limited to industrial and employee relations, information systems, quality control and improvement
Oversee education evaluation activities including learner reaction to individual programs through to evaluation of the entire learning and development offering
Ensure quality assurance and control systems in education design, planning and delivery. Develop organisational KPI’s for learning and development and collect, report and analyse data.
Coordinating and supporting consultation as required for all major workplace changes as well as Interpreting, and providing advice and applying employment legislation, policies and procedures
Participate as required in strategic planning processes, workforce planning and change management, including the implementation and evaluation and the negotiation of enterprise agreements and ensure that employment arrangements suit business needs and are competitive in the labour market
Support the Regional Director People & Culture and Human Resources Manager in the negotiation of enterprise agreements.
Maintain professional development to keep abreast of contemporary human resource management and aged care industry legislation and best practice
What you bring
Essential
Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline
Demonstrated HR skills and experience with a sound understanding of a broad range of HR functions, processes and current HR trends
Proven ability to conceptualise issues, develop options, write and present reports to a high standard
Solid problem-solving skills as well as strong analytical skills with experience in data collection and analysis
High-level project management skills with a record of successfully coordinating and/or supporting projects through to completion in accordance with agreed standards, timeframes and budgets
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional documentation for various audiences, advise and negotiate at high levels and maintain discretion
Highly-developed relationship management skills, including the ability to interact with, and gain cooperation from, internal and external stakeholders at various levels
High level of computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the use of HR Information systems

Desirable
Experience in the Learning & Development function of Human Resources
Experience in aged and/or health care
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
