About the role

The Loan Kit Coordinator is responsible for the ensuring that all required loan kits have been booked and have arrived the day prior to surgery. The Loan Kit Coordinator is responsible for the receipt, tracking, preparation and despatch of all loan kits and prosthetics used within the Operating Room Suite to ensure that all loan kits and prosthetics (irrespective of the origin and purpose) are tracked, all components accounted for and returned complete to the respective company.

Assist with CSSD shift rotation where required.

What you bring

  • Completed or enrolled in a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a culturally diverse workplace
  • Knowledge, understanding and demonstration of customer service culture within a health care environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a highly motivated and effective team
  • Proactive thinking and ability to use initiative
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills, such as the Microsoft suite and other relevant software
  • Previous experience working in a CSSD or Operating Theatre Suite
  • Experience with loan instrument sets, consignment sets and prosthetics coordination
  • Working knowledge of surgical procedures and the instruments and prosthetics required for such procedures
  • Understanding of, and experience with instrument tracking systems
