About the role

The Maintenance Officer/Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the high standards of the property including facilities, gardens and equipment by ensuring a safe and attractive aged care facility suitable for all residents and wider community.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Maintenance Officer/ Groundskeeper will ensure that all external areas, including paths, roadways, verandas, walls and external structures, are attractively presented to complement the high standards of the Facility.

  • The Maintenance Officer/Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the high standards of the property including facilities, gardens and equipment by ensuring a safe and attractive aged care facility suitable for all residents and wider community.

  • This position also provides support to the facility by assisting in the facilities kitchens, assisting with community services meal deliveries, community medication deliveries, as well as transporting staff to and from the airport.

What you bring 

  • Availability to use different equipment for the task
  • License or certificate
  • Experience in the maintenance work or groundskeeper
  • Computer literacy and access to emails
  • Ability to work extra day or two and be flexible
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
