About the role
Reporting to the Home Manager at Rye Sands, located in Rye, we currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Officer to join our team!
Ideally positioned in a quiet setting and just moments away from the beach, Calvary Rye Sands residential aged care home has been designed to deliver a new benchmark in aged care services to the Mornington Peninsula.
Your main duties will include:
Attend to duties that improve the day to day lives of our residents and employees and ensure a safe and clean living and working environment.
Various tasks as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor or relevant manager including preventative and reactive maintenance of site and equipment, inspections, liaising with consultants, gardening and landscaping.
Ensure a resident centred approach.
About you
Possess 2-3 years previous experience in a relevant trade industry.
Some prior experience in an aged care environment, with a working understanding of relevant Aged Care Accreditation Standards, compliance requirements, and Quality Improvement processes.
Good working knowledge of Fire and Emergency protocols, and regulations around essential services.
Demonstrated experience in managing contractors, including JSA's/SWMS, SLA’s, work orders.
A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
