About the role
 
Reporting to the Home Manager at Rye Sands, located in Rye, we currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Officer to join our team! 
 
Ideally positioned in a quiet setting and just moments away from the beach, Calvary Rye Sands residential aged care home has been designed to deliver a new benchmark in aged care services to the Mornington Peninsula.
 
Your main duties will include:
  • Attend to duties that improve the day to day lives of our residents and employees and ensure a safe and clean living and working environment.
  • Various tasks as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor or relevant manager including preventative and reactive maintenance of site and equipment, inspections, liaising with consultants, gardening and landscaping.
  • Ensure a resident centred approach.
About you
  • Possess 2-3 years previous experience in a relevant trade industry.
  • Some prior experience in an aged care environment, with a working understanding of relevant Aged Care Accreditation Standards, compliance requirements, and Quality Improvement processes.
  • Good working knowledge of Fire and Emergency protocols, and regulations around essential services.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing contractors, including JSA's/SWMS, SLA’s, work orders.
  • A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
