Medical Administration Officer

Calvary Riverina Hospital is seeking suitably qualified medical administration officer to join the hospital’s clinical services team.  The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high level administrative management support to the Medical Administration team including ensuring that the training needs of Junior Medical Staff are met during their rotations at Calvary Riverina Hospital. The Medical Administration Officer also ensures that the hospital medical staffing and service needs of the facility met.


Calvary Riverina Hospital is a private not for profit health service comprising 165 beds providing a diverse range of acute and sub-acute medical and surgical services to a catchment population of 300,000 people. The hospital is the largest private hospital in regional NSW located in the CBD of Wagga Wagga and situated in a large vibrant health precinct. Wagga Base Hospital is within close proximity and is the largest regional referral public hospital in NSW. The University of NSW and  University of Notre Dame Australia are located onsite at both hospitals.


Salary remuneration is in accordance with the relevant NSW Health public sector award.

Salary packaging options are available.


Applicants are required to demonstrate the following Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience eg HR, management, administration, etc
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and manage complex medical staffing issues including provision of appropriate support JMO well-being
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex medical rostering system and payroll management systems
  • Demonstrated well developed written and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with senior medical leaders and external stakeholders (Medical Networks, HETI, Colleges)
  • Experience of recruitment processes including interview panel participation and appropriate term allocations
  • Commitment to the philosophy, mission and values of Calvary as it applies to the Hospital and the ability and desire to uphold these principles
