About the role

The role of Calvary ICT Technical Support Senior Officer is primarily to provide L2-L3 ICT support services to all of Calvary’s locations within the specified regional facilities as necessary.

This role will work in accordance with the philosophy, mission and vision of Calvary and ensure that the values of healing, hospitality, stewardship and respect are reflected in undertaking the duties of the position.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • L2 – L3 ICT support services to Calvary across nominated sites.
    • Provide Desktop support to Calvary End Users
    • Provide L1 Application support for Calvary End Users on National Core Applications.
    • Provide L1 – L2 with Telephony Systems
    • Triage reported issues and allocate to appropriate technical or application team queue
    • Work with others members of the National ICT team to resolve issues
    • Log Issues with multiple Third party vendors to resolve local ICT Issues.
  • Support the NDC L3 team in specified activities that may include
    • AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, DFS, ADFS, LAPS and Windows 2012, 2016, 2019 servers
    • Management and support of a large scale VMware ESXi environment.
    • Have a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking
    • Under direction provide simple network management function, re switching, Wifi and related infrastructure
    • Report status of outstanding issues to National ICT Technical Lead as required.
    • Document and Assist end users with issue resolutions.
    • Escalate issues within the National Team when required.
    • Assist Calvary Infrastructure & Network team with onsite matters
    • Apply Fix’s as per Vendor Recommendations.
  • Provide after-hours L1-2 On Call assistance as part of a rostered rotation

 

What you bring 

Essential

  • 3-5 Years End User L2-L3 ICT Support experience
  • Functional experience and with the following Technologies
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • Microsoft Exchange & O365
    • Desktop Technologies
      • Internet Explorer/Chrome
      • Microsoft Office
      • Email Client
      • Printers / Scanners
      • Citrix & remote access
    • End User Hardware
      • Desktops / Laptops
      • Mobiles Devices
      • Server/VMWare
      • Network infrastructure (switches, Wifi etc)
  •  
  • Demonstrated understanding of routing, switching and firewall function and potentially configuration
  • Experience with dealing with external support vendors
  • Strong end-user support and knowledge transfer skills with the ability provide effective issue resolution and application support while demonstrating high quality customer service and communication skills.
  • Well-developed written skills with the ability to accurately prepare and maintain documentation
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Work with minimal Supervision
  • Proven ability to transfer skills to end users
  • A strong commitment to the Mission and Values of Calvary. 

 

Desirable

  • Degree in Business or Information Technology.
  • 3-5 Years work experience in the Private or Public Health Care sector
  • Experience with the following Technologies
    • Thin-client (Citrix) server environment
    • Cisco Switches / Routers
    • Cisco Wireless Networks
    • Telephony – PABX
    • Virtualisation (VMware)
