National Manager Clinical Governance – Aged Care

About the role

The National Manager Clinical Governance – Aged Care is responsible for the development and deployment of best practice systems and processes for quality and continuous improvement within aged care across Calvary.

Reporting to the Head of Clinical Governance Aged Care this position will support and work collaboratively with the Regional Quality Managers, General managers and Home managers to ensure that all Calvary Homes are compliant with all aged care standards, applicable legislation and regulations while offering the highest standard of resident care, outcomes and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and support implementation of quality improvement and risk management initiatives across Calvary Homes.
  • Coordinating the development of programs to support and assist home compliance with Policy and Procedures.
  • Provide support and mentoring to the Regional Quality Managers in all areas including preparedness for accreditation and compliance with Standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of processes to identify and monitor homes that are at risk in relation to the ongoing provision of safe, high quality, person-centred care

What you bring 

  • Tertiary qualifications in health/quality management or related field
  • Evidence of well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management, organisational skills and is able to work independently with minimal supervision and able to show own initiative
  • At least 5 years management experience in a clinical capacity
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a clinical governance/ quality role within aged care
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
