About the role

The National Manager Insights and Analytics is responsible for providing leadership in the development of an enterprise performance framework that underpins the provision of a centralised reporting and analytics for the business, manifesting in realisable insights to drive business performance.

The National Manager Insights and Analytics provides expert knowledge in health data and its interpretation to support the quality and safety of care, operational performance and strategic planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide the enterprise performance reporting framework that enables ready provision of advice, ad-hoc analysis and special-purpose reporting to all levels of the business, in response to matters of delivery performance, critical risk or commercial importance as they arise.
  • Drive and evaluate operational performance outcomes which contribute to the achievement of the team’s strategy and be accountable for providing detailed and reliable analysis to support strategic and dynamic decision making processes and to identify and drive opportunities for innovation
  • Manage delivery of performance reporting according to agreed schedules and support operational users in the interpretation of these reports
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders and teams to leverage information and insights across different business areas to help drive the strategy to deliver better customer outcomes and experiences
  • Assist with development of strategies to improve data integrity, collection, governance and continuous improvement to facilitate data collection, extraction and reporting.
  • Liaise with ICT to develop best-practise enterprise solutions to meet current and future reporting and analytical needs
  • Establish data integration that enables performance benchmarking of delivery partners and deepens insights from bringing together related data from disparate sources and systems.
  • Continuously source data from internal collections to provide data insights to meet the increasing need to build evidence based models and demonstrate impact on the strategic directions
  • Support planning and execution of Calvary’s Growth Strategy be developing and providing key insights of Calvary Business Streams, the broader Healthcare market and other areas as required
  • Communicate outcomes and data insights to the Executive and senior management, staff in tailored user friendly tools such as dashboard, presentations and digestible reports to inform performance


What you bring 


  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or Statistics
  • Extensive experience within a large data-intensive organisation, ideally in Health Care or with health-related data.
  • Strong technical, data modelling skills in complex data environments with an ability to draw insights and effectively communicate with clinicians, managers and executives.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering on strategic imperatives using data analytics
  • Established interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated high degree of initiative, confidence, and ability to pursue and resolve challenging issues with limited direction
  • Demonstrated ability to develop analytics and corporate dashboarding solutions which are modular, adaptable and suitable for use across the entire business
  • Demonstrably comprehensive experience transforming data and preparing Power BI data models for consumption by other teams
  • Comprehensive understanding of how data is stored, retrieved and related within an enterprise system
  • Clear communication, active listening, translating stakeholder requirements into amazing data, working in high pressure environments / tight deadlines


  • Recent experience in the Health Care sector is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the following Applications:

    • iCare / Leecare / Vitro (Slainte)
    • iPharmacy / Medchart
    • Medication Management (Medchart)
    • Technology 1 / Epicore
