  • We are Hiring personal care workers-casual for the beautiful age care home based in  Mirboo North.
  • About the role

    As a Personal care workers your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients including aged, disability and high needs clients with activities of daily living and providing support services such as Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Specialist Children and Adult Services, Respite and Personal Care at their home and in the community. We are looking for caring and kind Personal Carers to provide individualised and respectful personal care assistance to our Residents in Aged Care.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
    • Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation.
    • Implements clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident’s plan of care.
    • Assists the residents with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging their independence.
    • At a site where PCs document, then documents and reports by exception in the progress notes, including the evaluation of interventions are a part of the role.

    What you bring 

    • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desirable)
    • Current and valid Driver’s Licence, insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone
    • Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
    • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
    • Proficiency in use of technology such as smart  phones, email and internet
    • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
