About Calvary Health Care Bethlehem – Caulfield South, Victoria
Calvary Health Care Bethlehem (CHCB) is a 32 bed health care facility providing a range of inpatient, community and ambulatory services for palliative care and progressive neurological conditions. CHCB is also an NDIS service provider. In January 2023, we moved into our brand new state of the art facility in Caulfield at the Calvary Kooyong integrated precinct. Calvary Kooyong includes Calvary Health Care Bethlehem, Hyson Apartments independent living units and Huntly Suites residential aged care.
Vaccination against COVID-19 is a mandatory requirement for healthcare workers in Victoria, and as such, all employees at Calvary Health Care must provide evidence of Vaccination. Evidence of vaccinations related to the role will be required and requested during the on boarding process for successful applicants.
All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask. Additional PPE requirements are role-dependant.

The Physiotherapy Department at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is seeking an outstanding applicant to join our very experienced and supportive Physiotherapy team, with current vacancies available in our inpatient and outpatient streams.
There may be opportunities available to move across service streams which align to the candidate's skills and the broader needs of the department through rotations and leave cover as required and negotiated with the Allied Health Head of Department.
Our Physiotherapy service includes management of adults with progressive neurological and palliative conditions across their disease trajectory, working with patients from diagnosis until the end of life. Our aged care stream is growing, extending our reach into the home of clients over 65 with a variety of chronic or age related conditions and requiring a re-enablement approach to support their independence and safety at home.
Balancing quality of life and dignity of risk, the Physiotherapist supports patients with their goals and future planning needs to manage symptoms, mobility, respiratory function among other targeted interventions. The Physiotherapist works regularly with the whole care team including community palliative providers, Motor Neurone Disease Victoria, community allied health providers, NDIS support workers etc.
Bethlehem has a strong culture promoting research, learning and development. All team members receive regular supervision and opportunities to participate in education, quality improvement and research activities. Student clinical placements are also supported by the department.
