About the role

Our Critical Services team consists of two areas; Cath Lab/Angiography and High Dependency (HDU)/Critical Care Unit (CCU) and is looking for dedicated registered nurses who are not only looking to take their professional and educational development to the next level but to join a team and organisation that promotes a culture of recognition and celebration of achievements in a diverse and inclusive working environment.  

Depending on your preferences, skills, attributes and organisational requirements you’ll have the opportunity to be crossed trained and work across both areas.

 

What you bring 

Cath Lab/Angiography

Mandatory:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • A minimum of 12 months critical care experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification in critical care/perioperative/anaesthetics/cardiology nursing or working towards/willing to obtain.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the rights of individuals/groups in the health care setting;
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in relevant education and training activities.
  • Continuous application of effective communication and interpersonal skills to work in a team and to support the achievement of team goals and objectives.
  • Able to work with a flexible working roster.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt.

HDU/CCU

Mandatory:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • Invasive and Non Invasive Ventilator competent.
  • Post Graduate Qualification in critical Care or working towards/willing to obtain.
  • Has at least 12 months of working in a hospital based critical care or coronary care area.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the rights of individuals/groups in the health care setting;
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in relevant education and training activities.
  • Continuous application of effective communication and interpersonal skills to work in a team and to support the achievement of team goals and objectives.
  • Able to work with a flexible working roster.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt.
