About the role

This role is responsible to provide holistic professional care and support during the withdrawal process from alcohol or other drugs of addiction, in the community setting. You will be coordinating withdrawal and post withdrawal care planning including referral to appropriate rehabilitation support programs to aid long term rehabilitation. You will also provide a high standard of client care, recognising and acting in accordance with the Mission and Values of Calvary Riverina Hospital.

What you bring  

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a registered Nurse
• Sound clinical skills & confident working independently
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Demonstrated understanding of risk management
• Demonstrated knowledge of current drug and alcohol issues and practices pertaining to the position
• Demonstrated knowledge of current clinical practice guidelines pertaining to the position
• Demonstrated knowledge of drug and alcohol withdrawal management
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to prioritise your work load, have effective time management skills and work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated understanding of risk management
• Current NSW Drivers Licence
• COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt
