We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Rehabilitation and Palliative Care team on a permanent part-time basis (0.5 FTE). You will work alongside our multi-disciplinary team, inclusive of allied health professionals and medical practitioners, to deliver high-quality care in our dual purpose unit.

About you

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, our Registered Nurses provide direct patient care for rehabilitation and palliative patients. The rehabilitation unit provides specialised care with a dedicated medical, allied health and nursing team. The palliative unit is highly regarded, providing targeted and holistic end of life care to patients, whilst supporting their families and loved ones. 

Key Responsibilities

  • The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Competency in clinical assessment, consultation, liaison and care provision along a continuum of care
  • The ability to identify and respond to the changing needs of individuals.
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure the provision of timely and appropriate services and supports for all patients
  • A commitment to your own learning, development and quality improvement

What you bring 

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Experience in palliative care and rehabilitation nursing, or willing to learn
  • A passion for exceptional nursing care, and ability to work in the collaborative environment.
  • Excellent therapeutic communication skills
  • A strong commitment to professional development and innovations in practice
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
