  • About the role

    Our A&E team at Lenah Valley are looking for Level 1 RN's with previous emergency nursing or acute care experience to join the unit.

    Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, our A&E nurses are often the first point of contact for patients seeking treatment, and enjoy the dynamic, constantly changing environment, rising to the various challenges.  Delivering nursing services in A&E is certainly a challenge but a highly rewarding role!

    • The Emergency Department (ED) provides a service for people with illness or injury 24 hours a day with an anticipated 7 days per week service (Currently 5). The ED treats approximately 11,000 people per year.
    • It is a fast-paced and energetic environment and there are opportunities for staff to be involved in a variety of projects.

    RN's in the department will become multi-skilled through exposure to a number of treatment models for various illness presentations.

    What you bring

    • Current AHPRA Registration and relevant tertiary Nursing qualifications
    • Working with Children check/ Working with Vulnerable People Check
    • Acute care or Emergency nursing experience
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and team orientated environment
    • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving
    • Intermediate computer skills
    • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
