About the role

Registered Nurses form a fundamental part of our acute care medical multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Department of Veterans Affairs Liaison Nurse and a Discharge planner. Our Registered Nurses apply their professional nursing skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of their patients. The passionate team work cohesively to support people through some of their most vulnerable moments, managing an array of acute illness and diseases.

Calvary Bruce Private’s acute care Medical Ward has 36 beds and specialising in: Respiratory, Cardiology, Urology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, General medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Pain Medicine and consulting with Palliative Care Specialists. 

What you bring 

Mandatory:

• Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Evidence of commitment to maintaining ongoing professional development through the participation in education, and training activities relevant to the field of clinical practice.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through the participation in education and training activities relevant to the field of clinical practice.
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organization.
• COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt. 

  Highly Desirable:

• Post Graduate qualification in Acute Nursing or working towards the same.
