Salary Range: $72,698 - $97,112 (Plus Super)

 About the role

A fantastic opportunity exists for a registered nurse to join the unique and rewarding environment of the Pre-Admission Clinic (PAC). You will have the opportunity to work within the experienced PAC team preparing surgical patients for their hospital admission for elective surgery, either face to face appointments or telephone calls. You must be enthusiastic, compassionate and possess excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments face to face or over telephone pre operatively
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and communicate information to the patient and families regarding care, discharge procedures and follow up requirements
  • Liaise with a multidisciplinary team and stakeholders regarding patient care requirements
  • Inform management of any impact on organisational requirements

What you bring 

  • PAC/Surgical nursing experience desirable
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Commitment, enthusiasm and the ability to be reliable and flexible
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
