About you
The Level 2 Registered Nurse is responsible for providing leadership to the team, this includes fostering an environment that encourages and supports new and existing staff.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, our level 2 registered within the Day Oncology Unit are responsible for ensuring safe effective and appropriate patient centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering chemotherapy, targeted therapies and immunotherapy which includes monitoring and administering intravenous infusions
Provide expert advice which demonstrates competency within oncology nursing practice that aligns with current legislation and professional standards
Assessment, education and sound knowledge of medications and treatment of related side effects
Care, management and insertion of central access and peripheral devices
Assisting doctors with procedures, which enables you to provide pre and post procedural care to the patient and family
Maintain, update electronic records within a timely manner
Provide leadership, through fostering and encouraging the team with a supportive and collaborative approach
What you bring
AHPRA Registration
Minimum 2 years acute nursing experience
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in oncology and haematology within a day Unit or hospital setting
Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
Experience in Charm evolution (desirable but not essential)
