About the role

The surgical wards at Calvary North Adelaide are looking for Registered and Enrolled Nurses to work Part-Time, Full-Time and Casual hours. Part-time and Full-time staff are required to participate in a 14 day rotating roster including Early, Late and Night Shifts, Weekends and Public Holidays. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. St Catherine Ward is a 35 bed surgical ward specialising in Gynaecology, Breast and Endocrine, Colorectal and General Surgery. St Clare Ward is a 35 bed surgical ward specialising in Urology, Plastics, ENT, Spinal and General Surgery. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice in accordance with Calvary and relevant government policies and procedures. 
  • Provide direct patient care, and work in collaboration with Nursing, Medical and the Multi-Disciplinary team
  • Use a patient centred care approach

 

What you bring 

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting, a minimum of 2 years acute care experience. 
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
