 About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for highly motivated and experienced nurses to join our dynamic team.  We are currently seeking Clinical and Registered Nurses to work in our Peri-operative department in the role of:

  • Anaesthetics
  • Recovery

Our operating theatres offer a range of specialties including Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Plastics, Endoscopy, ENT, Colorectal and General Surgery catering for adults and paediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence based nursing care
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members to deliver patient care
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery

What you bring:

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Post Graduate Certificate (or working towards) is desirable
  • ALS/PALS accredited is desirable
  • Minimum 2 years' peri operative recovery or anaesthetic experience
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
  • Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
