About you

At St Johns private Hospital our Theatre team have a long and proud history of providing the highest level of care for the greater community of Hobart for over 50 years!

An excellent and rare opportunity has presented itself for an experienced and exceptional theatre nurse to co-lead our plastics and re-constructive specialty at St Johns private hospital.   

This position would suite an experienced theatre nurse with recent experience and a passion for plastic surgery. 

What you bring

  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in the theatre setting as a senior scrub / scout nurse (min 5 years). 
  • Must have recent experience in Plastics and reconstructive surgery  
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in area of specialty
  • Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders
  • Have the ability to effectively make decisions and delegate when required. 
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
