About the role

As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.

This role is available flexibly on either a casual, part-time or full time basis to accommodate your circumstances. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Giving direct care to patients in the medical/surgical units
  • Using a patient centred approach to patient assessment.
  • Maintaining continuity of care for each patient.
  • Accepting responsibility on behalf of the Enrolled Nurse, AIN’s and other Health Care Assistants for those duties which they are unable to undertake due to the Regulations of AHPRA, the position description and hospital policies.
  • Evaluating outcomes of care and initiating appropriate follow-up.

 

What you bring 

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
