Return to Work Coordinator - Vic/Tas region

About the role

The Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Community and Aged Care stream of Calvary within the Vic/Tas region, in assisting injured workers to remain or return to work as soon as safely possible after an injury.

Reporting to the Work Health and Safety Manager, the RTW Coordinator works closely with both National and site OHS staff to support continuous improvement in RTW and safety performance, and effectively contribute to the achievement of the organisation's strategic goals, vision and purpose.

As the key contact for injured employees, the RTW Coordinator ensures a supported and timely RTW program is in place in order to maximise rehabilitation outcomes for workers, minimise impacts on insurance premiums, while maintaining a positive safety culture.

This is a 12 month Fixed term full time position, with the potential for a permanent appointment.

What you bring  

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in a RTW role, with RTW/relevant qualifications
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead, negotiate and consult effectively with key stakeholders
  • Problem solving and decision making skills with a proactive approach to resolving RTW matters in a consultative manner
  • Working knowledge of WH&S principles, with the ability to interpret and apply workers compensation legislative standards and guidelines
  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Office suite of products and online injury management software
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
