About the role

To provide overnight medical care from 2100 – 0700 hours. The primary purpose of this role is to undertake the care of the patient that requires medical attention overnight, in the absence of the Visiting Medical Officer, or in the event of an emergency, when medical attention is required immediately, to prevent further deterioration and promote positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with VMO and Nursing staff to ensure excellence in patient care
• Follow and implement care plans as documented and communicate as appropriate
• Complete any necessary documentation as required to ensure Calvary Central District’s Hospital can bill appropriately for the work and treatment undertaken for the patients
• Deliver services in alignment with legislative and industry best practices;
• Offer support and information to patient families as required 

What you bring 

• COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt
• Fully Registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, PFY 3 minimum
• Advanced Life Support Training
• Experience in Anaesthetics, airway management and ICU environments
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
