About the role
The Social Work Department at Calvary Public Hospital Bruce is seeking an energetic, professional and dedicated Social Work Team Leader for an exciting new role in their growing team.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role and build on your current clinical skills. This role requires a true leader and someone who can become a person of influence within the team as well as with our key internal and external stakeholders. You will be a highly skilled administrator and will be comfortable in dealing with the day to day operational running of the team. This includes managing performance issues and leave, recruitment and rostering as well as supporting the Director and wider social work team.
Bringing your strong clinical experience to the role will allow you to maintain a clinical case load and ensure your clinical skills are developing. This role provides a great opportunity to working within and across the hospital, aged care and NDIS systems and previous experience in these areas will be highly beneficial to you in the role.
The management team are looking for someone who is ready to grow their career and lead the highly supportive team culture. You will be overseeing the clinical practice of a small team of social workers graded HP1-3 and an allied health assistant and will be able to use your experience and knowledge to guide and mentor other clinicians. The role offers you the opportunity to network with a range of services across the Territory and also be involved in strategic meetings within the hospital. Higher Grade Duties opportunities to provide cover for the Director will also be available along with peer support from the Social Work Team Leader - Critical Care. You will be supported in your role with professional development and external professional supervision as well as responsive and available management and executive support
