About the role
Working alongside other senior clinicians, you will be responsible for the clinical leadership of the social work department and psychosocial services team including service development and innovation, clinical supervision, and staff development. Clinical social work duties include working in collaboration with patients, families, other health professionals and services to undertake psychosocial assessment and social work intervention including assistance with financial and accommodation issues, adjustment to diagnosis, advance care planning, referral to community agencies, carer support, and family violence risk assessment and intervention. This position is also responsible for the coordination and management of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) Flexible Respite and Specialist Support Service.

About Calvary Health Care Bethlehem – Parkdale, Victoria (relocating to Caulfield, Victoria in early 2023)
Calvary Health Care Bethlehem (CHCB) is a 32 bed health care facility providing a range of inpatient, community and ambulatory services for palliative care and progressive neurological conditions.
CHCB is also an NDIS service provider. We are currently located at our temporary site in Parkdale, whilst our Caulfield site is being re-developed into a Health Care Precinct, which is due to open in early 2023.
Vaccination against COVID-19 and seasonal Influenza is a mandatory requirement for healthcare workers in Victoria, and as such, all employees at Calvary Health Care must provide evidence of mandatory vaccinations upon application.
All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask. Additional PPE requirements are role-dependant.
