Calvary are looking for both Level 1 and Level 2 Registered Midwives and Neonatal Nurses who are experienced in caring for late preterm babies. The shift Team Leader also attends all acute resuscitations within the unit with the support of a VMO paediatrician and the Maternity team. You will be responsible for providing safe, effective, Family Centred and newborn care in the Special Care Nursery of Calvary Public Hospital in Bruce. The various functions of the maternity department support antenatal care, labour and birth, parent education, postoperative care, Special Care Nursery including women undergoing gynaecological procedures, and postnatal services in the community through our midcall program. Our unit is supported by a strong multi-disciplinary team of specialist Paediatric staff and allied health team. SCN is supported by the Newborn and Emergency Transport team NETS) team to transfer babies requiring tertiary  hospital care. Our SCN is a step down health facility for babies no longer requiring tertiary care. 

What you bring 

• Demonstrated evidence of clinical knowledge and problem solving skills at an advanced level in neonatal care including acute neonatal resuscitation
• Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate legislation that relates to the position i.e. WHS legislation, EEO legislation.
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
• Desirable - post graduate Neonatal Qualification

Registered Nurse/ Midwife Level 1 Salary Range: $ 72,698 - $ 97,112 (Plus Super)

Registered Nurse/ Midwife Level 2 Salary Range: $100,957 - $107,000 (Plus Super)
