About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic independent speech therapist to join our team in a Permanent Part-Time capacity.
This position will rotate through our different wards to provide experience in the acute surgical, orthopedic and medical caseloads as well as the inpatient Hyson Green Mental Health Unit.
New Graduates are not encouraged to apply, experience is essential for this role.
Your main duties will include:
Providing clinical assessment and treatment to inpatients
Maintaining a high level of documentation and communication
Participating in non-clinical duties including Quality Improvement activities
About you:
Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent qualification
Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
Clinical experience in a hospital setting or equivalent aged care setting with dysphagia experience and knowledge
Commitment to ongoing continual professional development
Effective written and verbal communication and time management skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and as a sole clinician
Demonstrated ability to apply quality improvement activities in the workplace
