Salary Range: $188,151 - $232,158 (Plus Super)

About the role

The department of Anaesthesia and pain Management are seeking job applications from specialist anaesthetists for full time and part time staff specialist positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist anaesthetic services at CPHB
  • Involvement in teaching at registrar level, providing guidance in examination preparation and mentoring for future career development to this cohort
  • Participation in clinical audit, QI processes and research within the Department of Anaesthesia.
  • Excellent medical record keeping skills
  • Assist in and/or supervise the educational and professional development of nursing staff, undergraduate students, post-graduate students, resident medical staff associated with the Department of Anaesthesia, Pain and Perioperative Medicine.
  • Develop and maintain liaison with other centres, providers and professionals within and external to the Department and provide high standards of professional advice/opinions in relation to the service.


What you bring 

  • AHPRA registration as a specialist in Australia.
  • Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or meet the requirements for an International Medical Graduate Specialist (IMGS) as determined by ANZCA.
  • Candidates must hold Australian or NZ Citizenship or have the capacity to permanently work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
