About the role

As a Support Worker - Home Care your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients including aged and high needs clients with activities of daily living and providing support services such as domestic assistance, social support and respite and personal care at their homes and in the community.

This is a rewarding role offering you the flexibility to work your preferred hours. We have opportunities available for qualified Support Workers - Home Care. The current ordinary hours pay rate is $25.76 per hour plus superannuation, with employees also having access to generous not-for-profit salary packaging. Part time positions are currently available to work with the Community Care team in Mornington and surrounding suburbs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers in activities of daily living in accordance with the care plan.
  • Promote customer choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer as per Calvary Community Care’s Service Delivery Model.
  • Support customers to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.

What you bring 

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support 
  • Current and valid Driver’s Licence and insured, reliable motor vehicle 
  • Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Proficiency in use of technology such as smart  phones, email and internet
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
