About the role

The position of Care Support Worker is part of an integrated team. We are looking for applicants to join an existing team at the Port Augusta Calvary Cottage. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Client engagement at the Calvary Cottage via Day program. Supporting a range of clients including those living with dementia. 
  • Day shifts with some overnights and weekend work possible.
  • Meal preparation, Cottage cleaning and client transport.

What you bring 

  • Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement for client engagement
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
  • A certificate 3 in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or individual Support. 
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence, Insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart phone.
  • Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phone, email and internet. 
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
