About the role

As a Support Worker - Home Care your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients including aged and high needs clients with activities of daily living and providing support services such as domestic assistance, social support and respite and personal care at their homes and in the community.

This is a rewarding role offering you with the flexibility to work your preferred hours, which can include during school hours. We have opportunities available for qualified and unqualified Home Care Support Workers in Benalla and surrounding areas. Unqualified Support Workers may also have the opportunity to earn and learn, to gain a qualification while they work. Employees also have access to generous not for profit salary packaging and discounts on selected items such as gym memberships, health insurance and lifestyle products such as giftcards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support customers in activities of daily living in accordance with the care plan.
  Promote customer choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer as per Calvary Community Care’s Service Delivery Model.
  Support customers to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.

What you bring 

• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desirable but not essential)
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence, insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone
• Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
• Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
