Support Worker

  • Permanent Part-Time Positions - Minimum guarantee of 30 hours per fortnight!

  • Most services during business hours Mondays to Fridays - Weeknight and weekend work is optional

About the role

As a Support Worker your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients including aged, disability and high needs clients with activities of daily living and providing support services such as Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Specialist Children and Adult Services, Respite and Personal Care at their home and in the community.

We are looking for Support Workers to work in the following areas; Northern Beaches, North Sydney, Ryde, Western Sydney (Blacktown & Parramatta) , St George, Sutherland Shire & surrounding areas.

We offer family friendly hours providing Home Care services to elderly in need. Most services are during business hours Mondays to Fridays, weekend work is optional.

A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support is essential. If you have not completed your Cert 3 please apply via our other non-Cert 3 advertised positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Looking after clients in a safe & caring manner
  • Commitment to Calvary’s philosophy of providing responsive, flexible and customer focused services
  • Willing to cover areas at least 30mins drive from where you live, you must have your own insured vehicle
  • Willing to attend all face to face training and meeting required at our Beverley Park & Ryde offices and other locations when needed
  • Commitment to Calvary's Support Worker Policy & Procedures and WHS Policy

What you bring 

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (Essential)
  • Willingness to cover areas at least 30mins (ideally an hour) drive from your residence.
  • Willingness to attended all required training and meetings.
  • Current and valid Driver’s Licence, insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with excellent customer service
  • Ability to work by yourself and effectively manage your time
  • Able to use smart phone, email, internet and have a laptop or desktop at home for required e-learning 
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
  • Current Covid-19 vaccinations including booster & First Aid Certificate
